Driver Attention Warning Malfunction and Limitations

If the Driver Attention Warning does not operate normally, the "Check Driver Attention Warning System" warning message appears on the cluster for several seconds, and the warning light () on the instrument panel illuminates. In this case, have the vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Driver Attention Warning Limitations

The Driver Attention Warning may not operate correctly in the following situations:

• Vehicle is driving aggressively
• Vehicle frequently changes lanes intentionally
• Vehicle is driven with a driver assistance system such as Lane Following Assist

Lead Vehicle Departure Alert function

• When a vehicle cuts in

If a vehicle cuts in front of your vehicle, the Lead Vehicle Departure Alert may not operate properly.

• When the vehicle ahead turns sharply

[A]: Your vehicle, [B]: Vehicle ahead

If the vehicle ahead makes a sharp turn, such as turning left or right or making a U-turn, the Lead Vehicle Departure Alert may not operate correctly.

• When the vehicle ahead departs abruptly

If the vehicle ahead departs abruptly, the Lead Vehicle Departure Alert may not operate correctly.

• When a pedestrian or bicycle is between you and the vehicle ahead

If there are pedestrian(s) or bicycle(s) between you and the vehicle ahead, the Lead Vehicle Departure Alert may not operate correctly.

• In a parking lot

If a parked vehicle ahead pulls away from you, the Lead Vehicle Departure Alert may alert you that the parked vehicle is leaving.

• When passing through a railroad crossing, intersection, etc.

If you pass through a toll gate or an intersection with many vehicles, or drive where lanes merge or split frequently, the Lead Vehicle Departure Alert may not operate correctly.
