The Lane Keeping Assist system is designed to help detect lane markings (or road edges) when driving above a certain speed. Lane Keeping Assist will warn the driver if the vehicle leaves its lane without the turn signal being used, or will automatically assist the driver's steering to help prevent the vehicle from leaving the lane.

Detection Sensor

The front view camera is used as a detection sensor to detect lane markings (or road edges).

Refer to the illustration above for the detailed location of the detection sensor.
