Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) (Sensor Fusion)
Main Function

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist is designed to detect and monitor vehicles on the road ahead, or to help determine whether a pedestrian or cyclist is in the roadway. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist will warn the driver with an audible warning and a message in the LCD cluster if it determines that a collision is unavoidable. In certain cases, emergency braking may be applied.
Junction Turning Function

The Junction Turning function can help avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle when attempting to make a left turn at an intersection. If this function determines that a collision is unavoidable, a warning message appears and in some cases emergency braking may be applied.

PLEDGE
Observe the following precautions to maintain optimal performance of the detection sensor:
- NEVER disassemble the detection sensor or sensor assembly, or cause any damage to it.
- If the detection sensors have been replaced or repaired, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- NEVER install any accessories or stickers on the windshield, especially in the area in front of the sensor.
- Take extreme care to keep the front view camera dry.
- NEVER place reflective objects (such as white paper or a mirror) on top of the instrument panel.
- Do not install a license plate frame or items such as bumper stickers, film, or bumper guards near the front radar cover.
- Always keep the front radar and radar cover clean, free of dirt and debris. Use only a soft cloth to wash the vehicle. Do not spray pressurized water directly on the sensor or sensor cover.
- If the radar or the area around the radar has been damaged or affected by any impact, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may malfunction even though the warning message does not appear in the cluster. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Use only genuine parts to repair or replace a damaged radar front cover. Do not paint the radar front cover.
