Cabin Air Filter

The cabin air filter, installed behind the glove box, removes dust and other contaminants that enter the vehicle through the heating and air conditioning system. If dust or other contaminants accumulate in the filter, airflow from the vents may decrease, which may increase fogging on the windshield, even when the Fresh Air (outside air) position is selected.

In this case, we recommend having the cabin air filter replaced by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Information

• Replace the filter according to the maintenance schedule. If driving under severe conditions (dusty roads or accidents, for example), the air conditioning filter must be inspected and replaced more often.
• If the airflow suddenly decreases, we recommend that you have your vehicle's system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Information

It is important to use the correct type and amount of oil and refrigerant; otherwise, the compressor may be damaged and the system may malfunction.
