WARNING

  • The driver is responsible for controlling the vehicle for safe driving.
  • Always keep your hands on the steering wheel while driving.
  • The Highway Driving Assist system is an convenience feature that assists the driver in operating the vehicle and is not a fully autonomous driving system. Always check the road conditions and take appropriate action when necessary to drive safely. • Always pay attention to the road. It is the driver's responsibility to obey traffic laws. The vehicle manufacturer is not responsible for any traffic law violations or accidents caused by the driver. • The Highway Driving Assist system may not recognize all traffic situations. Highway Driving Assist may not detect possible collisions due to system limitations. Always be aware of the system limitations. Obstacles such as vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, unidentified objects, or structures such as guardrails, tollgates, etc., with which the vehicle may collide may not be detected.
  • The Highway Driving Assist system will automatically turn off under the following conditions: - Driving on roads where Highway Driving Assist does not operate, such as rest areas, intersections, interchanges, etc. - Navigation does not operate properly, such as when the navigation is updating or restarting.
  • Highway Driving Assist may turn on or off unintentionally depending on road conditions (navigation information) and surroundings.
  • The Lane Following Assist function may be temporarily deactivated when the front view camera cannot detect lanes properly or the Hands-Off warning is active.
  • You may not hear the Highway Driving Assist warning sound if there is excessive noise around the vehicle.
  • If the vehicle is driven at a speed above a certain speed on a curve, the vehicle may drift to one side or may depart from the lane.
  • When towing a trailer or another vehicle, it is recommended that Highway Driving Assist be turned off for safety reasons.
  • A Hands-Off warning message may appear sooner or later depending on how the steering wheel is held or road conditions. Always keep your hands on the steering wheel while driving.
  • For safety, read the owner's manual before using Highway Driving Assist.
  • The Highway Driving Assist system will not operate immediately after the engine is started, or when the sensors or navigation are being initialized.

Highway Driving Assist Limitations

The Highway Driving Assist system may not operate properly or may not function under the following conditions:

  • The map information and the actual road are different because navigation is not updated.
  • The map information and the actual road are different due to real-time GPS data errors or map information errors.
  • The infotainment system is overloaded by simultaneously performing functions such as route search, video playback, voice recognition, etc.
  • GPS signals are blocked in areas such as tunnels
  • The driver deviates from the route or the destination is changed or cancelled by resetting navigation.
  • The vehicle arrives at a service station or rest area.
  • Android Auto or CarPlay is operating.
  • Navigation cannot detect the current position of the vehicle (for example, overpasses, including an overpass near public roads, or when roads run parallel nearby)
