Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)
Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control uses road information available on some highways to automatically adjust the cruise control set speed.
There are two important features that make up Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control: Auto Highway Speed Change and Auto Highway Curve Deceleration.
Information
• Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control is only available on controlled-access roads of some highways.
A controlled access highway is a road with limited entry and exit points that allows for uninterrupted high-speed traffic flow. Only passenger cars and motorcycles are allowed on controlled access highways.
• Additional highways may be added by future navigation updates.
Information
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control operates on major highways only, and does not operate on interchanges or junctions.
Highway Curve Deceleration
If the vehicle speed is high, the Highway Curve Deceleration function will temporarily reduce your vehicle speed or limit acceleration to help you drive safely through a curve, based on curve information from the navigation system.
Highway Automatic Speed Change
The Highway Automatic Speed Change function automatically changes the Smart Cruise Control set speed based on speed limit information from the navigation system.
