Description and Operation

Description

The media jack on the upper console panel is intended for customers who like to listen to music from portable external players, such as MP3 players, through the vehicle audio system by connecting to this jack. This is an optional feature for the customer. If sound distortion occurs from external music players connected to AUX, the audio unit may be faulty, but the output level of the player may not meet AUX specifications.

Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front floor console tray. (Refer to Body group - Floor Console)
  3. Remove the media jack cover (A) after releasing the retaining clips (B).

REMEDY

  1. Connect the multimedia jack connector.
  2. Install the media jack cover.
  3. Install the front console tray onto the floor.
