Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector (A) and remove the oil pressure switch.

    Tightening torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  2. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

Sealant: THREEBOND 2403 Thickness: 0.2 ~ 0.4 mm (0.008 ~ 0.016 in.)

Inspection

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between the terminal and the body. If there is no continuity, replace the oil pressure sensor.
  2. Check the continuity between the terminal and the body while pressing a thin wire. If there is continuity even with the thin wire pressed, replace the oil pressure switch.
  3. If there is no continuity, apply 50 kPa (0.50 kgf/cm², 7.25 psi) through the oil hole. If the switch operates normally, check for air leaks. If there are leaks, the diaphragm is broken. Replace it.
