Remote Start

You can start the vehicle using the Remote Start button on the Smart Key.

To start the vehicle remotely:

1. Press the door lock button within 32 ft (10 m) of the vehicle.

2. Press and hold the Remote Start button () for 4 seconds within 4 seconds after pressing the door lock button on the remote.

3. To disable the Remote Start function, press the Remote Start () button once.

• The Remote Start () button may not work if the Smart Key is not within 32 ft (10 m).
• The vehicle will not start remotely if the hood or the liftgate is open.
• The vehicle must be in P (Park) for the Remote Start function to start the engine.
• The engine will shut off if you enter the vehicle without a registered Smart Key.
• The engine will shut off if you do not get into the vehicle within 10 minutes after remote starting the vehicle.
• Do not leave the engine idling for a long period of time.
