Driving Your Vehicle

Blind-Spot Detection (BSD) System

~1min read

The BSD system uses a radar sensor to provide warnings while driving.

The sensor monitors the areas behind the vehicle and provides information to the driver.

(1) BSD (Blind-Spot Detection)
The detection range depends on the driving speed.
However, if you are driving faster than other vehicles, the system may not alert you.

(2) LCA (Lane Change Assist)
The system warns you if it detects an approaching vehicle at high speed.

(3) RCTA (Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning)
When your vehicle is moving in reverse, the sensor detects approaching vehicles from the left or right and warns you.

WARNING

  • Always stay alert while driving, even if the BSD system is turned off. The system does not detect every object.
  • The Blind-Spot Detection system is a device designed to assist you. For your safety, do not rely entirely on this system and always stay alert while driving.
  • The Blind-Spot Detection system is not a substitute for good driving practice.
Always drive safely and remain attentive when changing lanes or backing up. The Blind-Spot Detection system may not detect all objects around the vehicle.
