(3) Seat cushion height
(4) Seat warmer*
(5) Head restraint
WARNING
- Foreign objects: Foreign objects in the driver's footwell may interfere with pedal operation, which may result in a traffic accident.
Do not place any objects under the front seats.
WARNING
- Returning the seatback to the upright position
When returning the seatback to the upright position, hold it and move it slowly.
Make sure no other persons are near the seat. If you do not hold the seatback and control its movement when returning it to the upright position, it may move forward suddenly and strike and injure a person.
WARNING
- The driver is responsible for the passenger seated in the front seat
If a passenger is seated in the front seat with the seatback reclined while the vehicle is in motion, serious injury or death may result in the event of a traffic accident.
If the front seatback is reclined during such an accident, the hips of the passenger may slide under the lap belt, and a large load will be applied to the unprotected abdominal area.
This may result in serious injury or death. The driver should advise the front passenger to return the seatback to the upright position while the vehicle is in motion.
WARNING
Do not use additional cushions that reduce friction between the seat and the occupant's body as a seat. The occupant's hips may slide out from under the belt during a crash or sudden stop. The seat belt may not function properly, which may result in serious or fatal internal injuries.
WARNING
- Driver's seat • Never attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is in motion. This may cause loss of vehicle control and result in a traffic accident, which may cause death, serious personal injury, or property damage.
• Do not allow anyone to change the normal position of the seatback. Placing objects against the seatback or otherwise interfering with normal seatback locking may result in serious injury or death in a sudden stop or collision.
• While driving, the seatback should be in the upright position, and the lap portion of the seat belt should be positioned as low and comfortably as possible on the hips. This is the best position for protecting the occupant in the event of a traffic accident.
• To avoid unnecessary and possibly serious injury from airbags, always sit as far from the steering wheel as possible while maintaining control of the vehicle.
It is recommended to sit so that the driver's chest is at least 250 mm from the steering wheel.
WARNING
After adjusting the seat, make sure it is securely locked. To do this, try to move the seat forward and rearward without using the release lever. A sudden movement of the driver's seat may result in loss of vehicle control and cause an accident.
WARNING
• Do not adjust the seat while the seat belt is fastened.
Moving the seat forward may cause strong compression of the abdominal area.
• Be extremely careful and make sure hands or any objects do not get caught in the seat mechanism while the seat is moving.
• Do not leave a lighter on the floor or on the seat. When the seat position is changed, gas may leak from the lighter, which may cause a fire.
