Defrosting and Defogging the Windshield
WARNING
- Windshield Heating
Do not use the
or
position in cooling mode when outside humidity is high. The temperature difference between the outside air and the windshield may cause fogging on the outer surface of the windshield, resulting in loss of visibility. In this case, use the knob or button to select the
mode and set the blower speed knob or button to a low speed.
• For the most effective defrosting, set the temperature to high (fully clockwise knob position) and the blower speed to maximum.
• If air must be directed to the lower part of the cabin while defrosting or defogging the windows, select the mode that directs air to the floor and windshield.
• Before driving, completely remove snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside rearview mirrors, and all windows.
• Completely remove snow and ice from the hood and the air intake grille to improve the efficiency of the cabin heater and window heater and reduce the likelihood of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
