The Parking Assist System assists the driver when reversing. It does this by sounding a buzzer when any object is detected within 120 cm (47 in.) of the rear of the vehicle. This system is supplementary. It does not relieve the driver of the obligation to exercise extra caution and attention. The operating range of the system and the types of objects it can detect are limited. When reversing, always pay maximum attention as if the vehicle were not equipped with the Parking Assist System.

WARNING

The reverse parking assist system is supplementary only. Various factors (including external conditions) may affect the operation of the reverse parking assist system.

The driver must make sure there are no objects behind the vehicle before reversing.
