Since the refrigerant is under very high pressure, the air conditioning system must be serviced only by trained and certified technicians. It is important that the correct type and amount of oil and refrigerant are used; otherwise, damage to the vehicle and personal injury may result.

When the refrigerant quantity is low, air conditioner performance is reduced. Overcharging also has a negative effect on the air conditioning system.
