✽ NOTICE - USING THE iPod® DEVICE
- iPod® is a registered trademark of Apple Inc.
- To use the iPod® while operating the keys, you must use the dedicated iPod® cable (the cable supplied with iPod®/iPhone® products).
- If the iPod® is connected to the vehicle during playback, a tone may be heard for approximately 1-2 seconds immediately after connection. If possible, connect the iPod to the vehicle with the iPod® stopped/paused.
- In ACC ON state, connecting the iPod® via the iPod® cable will charge the iPod® through the vehicle audio system.
- When connecting with the iPod® cable, make sure the plug is fully inserted to prevent communication interference.
- When the equalizer functions of an external device, such as an iPod®, and the audio system are both active, equalizer effects may overlap and cause sound degradation or distortion. If possible, turn off the equalizer function on the external device when using it by connecting to the audio system.
- Noise may occur when an iPod® or AUX device is connected. When such devices are not in use, disconnect the storage device.
- When the power of an iPod® or AUX device is connected to the power jack, noise may occur during playback of the external device. In such cases, disconnect the power connection before use.
- Skipping or malfunction may occur depending on the characteristics of your iPod®/iPhone® device.
- If your iPhone® is connected via Bluetooth® wireless technology, USB audio may not play correctly. On your iPhone®, select the Dock connector or Bluetooth® wireless technology to change the audio output (source).
- iPod mode cannot operate if the iPod® is not recognized due to versions that do not support the communication protocols.
- The 5th generation iPod® Nano may not be recognized when the iPod® battery level is low. Please charge the iPod® before use.
- The search/play order displayed on the iPod® may differ depending on the order displayed on the audio system.
- If the iPod® malfunctions due to a defect in the iPod®, reset the iPod® and try again. (For more information, refer to the iPod® owner's manual.)
- Some iPod® models may not synchronize with the system depending on their version. If the media is removed before it is recognized, the system may not correctly restore the previous mode. (iPad® charging is not supported.)
