Bulbs

~1min read

Contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to replace most vehicle light bulbs. Replacing vehicle light bulbs is difficult because other parts of the vehicle must be removed before you can reach the bulb. This is especially true for removing the headlamp assembly to reach the bulb(s).

Removing/installing the headlamp assembly may cause damage to the vehicle.

✽ NOTICE

After intensive driving, rain, or washing, the lenses of the headlamps and tail lamps may appear frosted. This condition is caused by the temperature difference between the air inside the lamp and the outside air. It is similar to condensation on the windows inside the vehicle during rain and does not indicate a problem with your vehicle. If water has entered the lamp electrical circuit, have it checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING

  • Before replacing a headlamp, depress the brake pedal, move the shift lever to the P (Park) position, apply the parking brake, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF position, and take the key with you when leaving the vehicle to prevent sudden vehicle movement and possible electric shock.
  • Be aware that bulbs may be hot and can burn your fingers.
