Inspection

Fuse
  1. Make sure that there is no play in the fuse holders and that the fuses are securely installed.
  2. Is the rating of the fuse specified correctly for each circuit?
  3. Check for blown fuses. If a fuse must be replaced, always use a new fuse of the same capacity. Always determine why the fuse blew first and fully resolve the problem before installing a new fuse.
SJB Connectors

Inspection

  1. The SJB can be diagnosed using GDS. The SJB communicates with GDS, which then displays the input and output data along with the codes.
  2. To diagnose the SJB function, select the vehicle model, BCM and SJB.
  3. To view the SJB input/output current value, select "Current DATA". It provides information on the SJB input/output conditions.
  4. To perform a functional check of the SJB outputs, select "Actuation Test".

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the lower crash pad panel. (Refer to Group BD - "Crash Pad")
  3. Remove the SJB (A) (Smart Junction Box) after removing the bolts, nuts and connectors.

Installation

  1. Install the SJB (Smart Junction Box).
  2. Connect the SJB connectors.
  3. Install the emergency pad lower panel.
