Seat Warmers
Seat warmers are provided to warm the seats in cold weather.
WARNING
Seat heaters can cause SERIOUS BURNS even at low temperatures, especially with prolonged use. Occupants should be able to feel when the seat becomes too hot so they can turn it off if necessary. Persons who cannot detect temperature changes or pain in their skin should use special caution, especially the following types of occupants:
- Infants, children, elderly persons, disabled persons, or outpatients.
- Persons with sensitive skin or those who sunburn easily.
- Fatigued persons.
- Persons under the influence of alcohol.
- Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness.
WARNING
NEVER place anything that insulates against heat, such as a blanket or seat cushion, on the seat while the seat warmer is on. This may cause the seat to overheat, which may result in burns or damage to the seat.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the seat warmers and seats:
- Never use solvents such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
- Do not place heavy or sharp objects on heated seats.
