The Smart Key will not work if any of the following occurs:

  • The Smart Key is near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, which may interfere with normal transmitter operation.
  • The Smart Key is near a two-way mobile radio system or cellular phone.
  • A smart key of another vehicle is being used near your vehicle. When the smart key does not operate properly, open and close the door using the mechanical key. If you have a problem with the smart key, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If the smart key is in close proximity to your mobile phone, the signal may be blocked by your mobile phone's normal operating signals.

This is especially important when the phone is in use, such as when sending and receiving calls, sending and receiving text messages, and/or sending and receiving e-mails.

Do not place the Smart Key and mobile phone in the same pants or jacket pocket, and always try to maintain sufficient distance between the two devices.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and

2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Battery Replacement

If the Smart Key does not work properly, try replacing the battery with a new one.

Battery type: CR2032

To replace the battery:

1. Pry off the rear cover of the Smart Key.

2. Remove the old battery and insert a new one. Make sure the battery is positioned correctly.

3. Reinstall the smart key rear cover.

If you suspect that your Smart Key may have been damaged, or you feel the Smart Key is not working properly, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

✽ NOTICE

Improperly disposed of batteries can harm the environment and human health. Dispose of the battery in accordance with local laws and regulations.
