Automatic Headlights

This system automatically turns the headlights on or off depending on the level of ambient light. To activate the system, turn the headlight switch clockwise to the last detent for automatic headlight operation. When the system is on, the headlight delay feature is also enabled. This means the headlights will remain on for up to 90 seconds after the ignition is placed in the OFF position. To turn off the automatic system, move the headlight switch from the AUTO position.

NOTE:

The engine must be running before the headlights will illuminate automatically.

Headlights-On Reminder

If the headlights, parking lights or cargo lights remain on after the ignition is placed in the OFF position, a chime will sound when the driver's door is opened.
