This diesel engine is designed to take advantage of the high energy content and generally lower cost of No. 2 Ultra Low Sulfur diesel fuel or No. 2 Ultra Low Sulfur diesel fuel with cold weather additives.

NOTE:

  • If you accidentally filled the fuel tank with gasoline in a diesel vehicle, do not start the engine. Engine and fuel system damage may occur. Contact an authorized dealer for service.
  • Biodiesel blends up to 5% meeting ASTM D975 specification may be used in your diesel engine without any adjustments to regular maintenance schedules.
  • Fuel additives available on the market are not necessary for proper operation of your diesel engine.
  • No. 1 Ultra Low Sulfur diesel fuel must be used where extended arctic conditions (-10°F or -23°C) are expected.
