TOWING A DISABLED VEHICLE
This section describes the procedures for towing a disabled vehicle using a commercial towing service.
If the transmission and driveline are undamaged, Restricted-Use 4x4 vehicles can also be towed as described

To prevent damage to your vehicle, use only tow bars and other equipment designed for this purpose, and follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions. The use of safety chains is mandatory. Attach the hitch or other towing device to the main structural members of the vehicle, not the fascia/bumpers or related brackets. Observe state and local laws regarding towed vehicles.
If you need to use accessories (wipers, defrosters, etc.) while towing, the ignition must be in the ON/RUN position, not the ACC position.
If the vehicle battery is discharged, refer to the procedure for shifting the automatic transmission out of PARK (P) to move the vehicle.
When securing the vehicle to a truck platform, do not attach to front or rear suspension components. Damage to your vehicle may result from improper towing.
