Starter Motor Installation

NOTICE

Do not tap the starter motor shaft or body. Tapping the shaft or body could damage the motor.

• Clean the starter motor legs [A] and crankcase where the starter motor is ground.
• Replace the O-ring [A] with a new one.
• Apply grease to the new O-ring.
• Tighten: Torque - Starter Motor Mounting Bolts: 9.8 NВ·m (1.0 kgfВ·m, 87 inВ·lb)

• Install the starter motor cable [A] as shown in the figure.
• Tighten: Torque - Starter Motor Cable Terminal Nut [B]: 5.9 NВ·m(0.60 kgfВ·m, 52 inВ·lb)
• Slide back the rubber cap to the original position.
