Description

The ECM (Electrochromic Inside Rearview Mirror) is designed to dim the reflected light from vehicles behind at night so that the driver is not dazzled by the light. The front sensor detects the ambient brightness, while the rear view sensor detects the intensity of the reflected light, so that it adjusts the reflectance of the mirror within a range of 7~85%. However, when the transmission is in reverse, it stops operating.
  1. The forward-facing sensor determines whether the ambient brightness is low enough for the mirror to perform its function.
  2. The rear-facing sensor detects glare from light reflected from a vehicle moving behind.
  3. The ECM dims to the level determined by the rear view sensor. When glare is no longer detected, the mirror stops operating. 1. Status indicator LED 2. ON/OFF switch 3. Rear view sensor 4. Front sensor
