Description

Role of Automatic Transmission

The engine clutch and motor are installed inside the automatic transmission assembly. The engine clutch is used to connect the engine to the transmission. The motor is used to rotate the transmission input or can be used as a generator. When used as a generator, the motor can be used for regenerative braking. Whether by engine, motor, or both, torque is transmitted through the automatic transmission to the wheels.
