Installation of Cylinder Head Cover

Install the cylinder head cover.

1. Remove the hardened liquid sealant located at the upper part between the timing chain cover and the cylinder head before installing the cylinder head cover.
2. After applying liquid sealant to areas (A) and (B), assemble within 5 minutes.

   Bead width: 2.5 mm (0.10 in)

   

3. Install the cylinder head cover (A), tightening the bolts in the following sequence. Tightening torque: Step 1: 3.9 ~ 5.9 N·m Step 2: 7.8 ~ 9.8 N·m

   

   

Install the front engine mount bracket (A).

Tightening torque: 27.5 ~ 31 N·m

Connect the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) hose (A).

Install the high-pressure fuel pump. (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "High Pressure Fuel Pump")

Install the high-pressure tube (A). Tightening torque: Bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m Nuts: 26.5 ~ 32 N·m

Connect the PCSV (Purge Control Solenoid Valve) connector (A), then tighten the vacuum piping and PCSV (Purge Control Solenoid Valve) mounting bolt and nut.

Connect the fuel hose (A) and the PCSV (Purge Control Solenoid Valve) hose (B).

Install the ignition coils. (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Ignition Coil")

Connect the ignition coil connectors (A) and the fuel pump connector (B), then install the wiring protector (C).

Connect the exhaust OCV (Oil Control Valve) connector (A).

Install the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Air Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner").

Install the engine cover.
