  1. Remove the ladder frame. (Refer to Cylinder Block - Ladder Frame)
  2. Check the connecting rod side clearance.
  3. Remove the piston and connecting rod assembly. (Refer to Cylinder Block - Piston and Connecting Rod)
  4. Remove the main bearing cap and check the oil clearance.
  5. Check the crankshaft end play.
  6. Lift the crankshaft (A) out of the engine, taking care not to damage the journals.
