Outside mirrors
Always adjust the outside mirrors before starting to drive.
Your vehicle is equipped with two outside mirrors, one on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side. The mirrors may be electrically adjusted using the mirror switch. The outside mirrors can be folded to avoid damage in car washes or when driving on narrow roads.
WARNING
Outside mirrors
- The glass of the right outside mirror is convex. Objects in the mirror appear closer to the vehicle than they actually are.
- When changing lanes, check the inside rearview mirror or look directly behind to accurately judge the distance to following vehicles.
DANGER
Do not scrape ice from the mirror glass, as this may damage the mirror surfaces. If the mirrors cannot be adjusted due to ice, do not force them. Use a commercial de-icer spray or a sponge or soft cloth with warm water to remove ice around the mirror.
DANGER
If the mirror is stuck due to ice, do not adjust it by force. Use a commercial de-icer spray (not radiator antifreeze) to loosen the frozen mechanism, or move the vehicle to a warm place to thaw the ice.
WARNING
Do not adjust or fold the outside mirrors while the vehicle is moving. You could lose control of the vehicle, resulting in an accident with serious injury or property damage.
Mirror adjustment from inside the vehicle

Electric type
The mirror adjustment switch allows you to adjust the right outside mirror. To adjust both mirrors, the ignition must be in the ON position.
First, set the switch (1) to R or L to select the right or left outside mirror. Then press the appropriate part of the adjustment button (
), to adjust the mirror up, down, inward, or outward.
After adjusting, press the R or L button again to prevent unintentional misalignment.
DANGER
- If the mirror reaches the maximum adjustment angle in the selected direction, it remains in place, but the servo motor continues to run as long as the button is pressed. Therefore, release the button once the mirror has reached its limit, otherwise the motor may be damaged.
- Do not attempt to adjust the electric outside mirrors manually. The mirror may be damaged.
Folding the outside mirrors

Electric type (if equipped): To fold the outside mirror, press the button.
To unfold, press the button again.
DANGER
The electric outside mirrors also operate when the ignition switch is in the OFF position. To avoid unnecessary battery discharge, do not use the mirrors longer than necessary. Adjust them when the engine is not running.
DANGER
Do not fold the electric mirrors by hand. Otherwise the drive motor may fail.

Manual type
To fold the outside mirror, grasp the mirror housing and fold the mirror back toward the vehicle.
