The rear parking assist system warns the driver with an audible signal when reversing the vehicle if an object is within approximately 120 cm (47 in.) behind the vehicle.

The parking assist system is only a supplementary system and does not relieve the driver of responsibility under any circumstances. Drive with special care and attention. The area covered by the rear sensors and the number of objects detectable by the rear sensors are limited. Therefore, be careful when reversing and pay as much attention to what is behind you as you would in a vehicle without a rear parking assist system.

The rear parking assist system is only a convenience function. Its operation may be affected by many factors, including external conditions. Mainly, the driver is responsible for observing the area behind the vehicle before and while reversing.
