Keep fog-free (depending on equipment)

To reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield, the air intake or air conditioner is automatically controlled according to certain conditions, such asorPosition. To cancel or return to fog-free operation, perform the following procedure first.

Manual Climate Control System

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Turn the mode selection dial to the windshield position ( ).

3. Press the fresh air/recirculation button at least 5 times within 3 seconds.

The fresh air/recirculation button indicator blinks 3 times. This indicates that the fog prevention logic has been canceled or returned to the programmed status.

When the battery is discharged or disconnected, the fog logic status will be reset.

Automatic Climate Control System (depending on equipment)

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Select the windshield position with the rear/windshield defrost button ( ). ).

3. Hold the A/C button and press the fresh air/recirculation button at least 5 times within 3 seconds.

The A/C indicator blinks 3 times. This indicates that the fog prevention logic has been canceled or returned to the programmed status. If the battery is discharged or disconnected, the system resets the fog prevention program.

Automatic Fog Prevention (automatic climate control only, depending on equipment)

The automatic defogger reduces the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield. Moisture on the inside of the windshield is automatically detected and the airflow is directed to the windshield.

The automatic defogger is activated when the mode is set to AUTO.

Europe only

If your vehicle is equipped with automatic defogging, it activates automatically once the conditions are met.

If the automatic defogger system detects moisture inside the windshield, airflow is directed to the windshield.

If you want to deactivate the automatic defogger system, press and hold the front windshield defrost button for more than 3 seconds.

When the system is deactivated, the "ADS OFF" icon appears on the climate control display. To reactivate the automatic defogger system, follow the procedure described above. The "ADS OFF" symbol goes out.

When the battery is discharged or disconnected, the automatic defroster status will be reset.

Except Europe

This indicator illuminates when moisture inside the windshield is detected by the automatic defogger and the system is activated.

If more moisture is detected in the vehicle, the following further steps are taken:

Step 1: Operate the air conditioner

Step 2: Adjust the fresh air

Step 3: Direct the airflow to the windshield

Step 4: Increase the airflow to the windshield

If your vehicle is equipped with automatic defogging, it activates automatically once the conditions are met. If you want to deactivate the automatic defogger system, press and hold the front windshield defrost button for more than 3 seconds.

When the system is deactivated, the "ADS OFF" icon appears on the climate control display.
