Headrest

For the safety of vehicle occupants, make sure the driver's and front passenger's seats are equipped with headrests.
The headrest not only provides comfort for the driver and passengers, but also supports the head and neck in the event of a collision.
WARNING
- For maximum effectiveness in an accident, the headrest must be adjusted so that the center of the headrest is at the same height as the center of gravity of the occupant's head. In general, the center of gravity of most people's heads is at the level of the top edge of the eye. Adjust the headrest so that it is as close as possible to the occupant's head. For this reason, using an additional cushion that increases the distance between the back and the seatback is not recommended.
- Do not drive the vehicle with the headrests removed, as this may result in serious injury to occupants in an accident. When properly adjusted, headrests can protect against neck injuries.
- Do not adjust the driver's headrest while driving.
DANGER
If no one is seated in the rear seats, adjust the rear headrests as low as possible. Rear headrests may affect rearward visibility.
Height Adjustment

To move the headrest up, pull it up to the desired position (1). To lower the headrest, press and hold the lock button (2) on the headrest support, then adjust the headrest to the desired lower position (3).

DANGER
When folding the seatback down, if the headrest is in the raised position, it may strike the sun visor or other parts of the vehicle.
Removal and Installation

To remove the head restraint:
1. Raise the seatback (2) with the folding lever (1).
2. Raise the headrest as far as possible.
3. Press and hold the lock button, then pull out the headrest (3) and the headrest post (4).
WARNING
Do NOT allow anyone to ride in a seat without a headrest.

To reinstall the head restraint:
1. Press and hold the lock button (1) and slide the headrest posts (2) into the holes.
2. Raise the seatback (4) with the folding lever (3).
3. Set the headrest to the desired height.
WARNING
Always make sure the headrest is returned to the correct position after reinstalling.
Front and rear adjustment (depending on equipment)

The headrest can be moved forward in 4 different positions. Turn the headrest to the desired forward position. To move the headrest to the fully rearward position, first disengage it, pull it all the way forward and let it go. Adjust the headrest so that the head and neck are properly supported.
WARNING
When sitting in the seat or when you push or pull the seat, a gap may form between the seat and the headrest release button. Be careful not to get your finger or other objects caught in the gap.
