Head Restraint

The driver's and front passenger's seats are equipped with headrests for occupant safety and comfort.
The headrest not only provides comfort for the driver and front passenger, but also helps protect the head and neck in the event of a collision.
WARNING
- For maximum effectiveness in the event of an accident, adjust the head restraint so that the center of the head restraint is at the same height as the center of gravity of the occupant's head. In general, the center of gravity of most people's heads is at the height of the top of their eyes. Also adjust the head restraint as close to the head as possible. For this reason, using a cushion that holds the body away from the seatback is not recommended.
- Do not drive the vehicle with the head restraints removed, as serious injuries to passengers may occur in the event of an accident. Head restraints can provide protection against neck injuries when properly adjusted.
- Do not adjust the driver's seat head restraint while the vehicle is in motion.
Forward and Backward Adjustment

The head restraint can be adjusted to 4 different positions forward by pulling the head restraint forward to the desired stop. To adjust the head restraint to the rearmost position, pull it fully forward to the farthest position and release it. Adjust the head restraint so that it properly supports the head and neck.
Up and Down Height Adjustment

To raise the head restraint, pull it up to the desired position (1). To lower the head restraint, press and hold the release button (2) on the head restraint support and lower the head restraint to the desired position (3).

CAUTION
If the seatback is reclined forward with the head restraint installed and the seat cushion raised, the head restraint may contact the sun visor or other parts of the vehicle.
