Seat Heating

~2min read

The seat warmers are designed to heat the front seats in cold weather. With the ignition key in the ON position, press either of the switches for the driver's seat or front passenger's seat warmer.

In mild weather, or when seat warmers are not required, keep the switches in the OFF position.

  • Each time the switch is pressed, the seat temperature setting will change as follows:
  • The seat warmer is off by default whenever the ignition key is turned on.

✽ NOTICE

When the seat warmer switch is in the ON position, the seat warmer system turns off or on automatically depending on the seat temperature.

CAUTION! Seat Damage

  • When cleaning the seats, do not use organic solvents such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline. These may damage the heater or seat surfaces.
  • To avoid overheating the seat, do not place anything on seats that insulate heat, such as blankets, cushions, or seat covers, while the seat warmers are operating.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat warmers. The warmer components may be damaged.
  • Do not replace the seat covering. This may damage the seat warmer.

WARNING - Seat warmer burns

Occupants must use extreme caution when using seat warmers due to the possibility of overheating or burns. Occupants should be able to feel if the seat becomes too hot and turn the seat warmer off. Seat warmers can cause burns even at low temperatures, especially if used for long periods of time.

In particular, the driver must exercise extreme caution with the following types of occupants:

1. Infants, children, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities or ambulatory patients
2. Persons with sensitive skin or those who burn easily
3. Fatigued persons
4. Persons under the influence of alcohol
5. Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness or sleepiness (sleeping pills, cold tablets, etc.)
