Power MOSFET (DATC) Repair Procedures

Inspection

1. 1
   Turn the ignition on.
2. 2
   Manually operate the control switch and measure the blower motor voltage.
3. 3
   Select the control switch to raise the voltage to high speed.

   * MANUAL BLOWER SPEED: (3.4 V ~ B+) * AUTO BLOWER SPEED: (4.0 V ~ B+)

   If the measured voltage does not meet the specification, replace the power MOSFET with a known good one and check operation.

   If the problem is resolved, replace the power MOSFET.

Replacement

1. 1
   Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. 2
   Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the power MOSFET (B) after loosening the mounting screws.

   Install in the reverse order of removal.
