Diagnosis Using GDS

   BSD system malfunctions can be quickly diagnosed using GDS. GDS quickly controls actuator operation, input/output values and self-diagnosis.

   Connect the GDS cable to the data link connector (DLC) on the driver's side, lower instrument panel, then turn on the GDS power.

   Select the vehicle model, and then select the BSD system.

   Select "Input/Output Control" to check the current BSD system data.

   To forcibly check the operation of each module, select "Activation Test".

   Ignition OFF, connect GDS.

   With the ignition "ON" and engine "OFF", select BSD system and "BSD Radar Calibration" mode.

   GDS will display the steps of the BSD reset function.

   1. Erase the BSD diagnostic trouble codes.
   2. BSD Initialization.

   The BSD initialization procedure will be performed.
