Description

- Blind Spot Detection (BSD): Detects other vehicles in the BSD zone and displays the BSD indicator lamp on the outside mirror for the driver. The indicator lamp flashes when the driver turns on the turn signal to change lanes toward the vehicle.
- Lane Change Assist (LCA): Detects other vehicles approaching at high speed in the LCA zone and displays the BSD indicator lamp on the outside mirror for the driver. The indicator lamp flashes when the driver turns on the turn signal without detecting any suddenly approaching vehicle from that direction.
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): Generates a warning for vehicles approaching from the rear and side while the vehicle is reversing.

- When the engine is started with the switch in the OFF position, the OFF mode is activated.
- When the ON switch is pressed in OFF mode, the passive mode is activated.
- If the engine is started while the switch is turned on, the passive mode is activated. ※ When the ignition is turned on, the switch returns to its initial state: the last position is stored.
- If IGN OFF → ON with the switch on, the switch is on.
- If IGN OFF → ON with the switch in the OFF position, the switch is in the OFF position.
- If the engine is started with BSD on, or if BSD is turned on while the BSD switch is off, the outside mirror indicator lamp flashes for 2 to 3 seconds. This informs the driver that the BSD system is ready. (Provided the system is not in a failure mode, no flashing occurs.)
- If the activation conditions (speed and radius of curvature) are met during driving, the Active mode is turned on (warning is issued).
- If the activation conditions (speed and radius of curvature) are not met during driving, the passive mode is turned on (warning is canceled).
- If the BSD and LCA operation fails in any mode, Fail mode is activated.
- If the BSD and LCA operations work normally in Fail mode, OFF mode is activated.
- If the OFF button is pressed while the BSD and LCA functions (active/passive) are operating, the OFF mode is turned on.
- Warning Zone

- BSD warning activation conditions: ① The entire body of the target vehicle is behind line A. ② Any part of the target vehicle crosses line B. ③ Any part of the target vehicle crosses line D and hysteresis In. ④ The entire part of the target vehicle passes line D and hysteresis B.

- BSD warning deactivation conditions: ① The entire body of the target vehicle moves ahead of line A. ② The entire body of the target vehicle moves behind line B. ③ The entire body of the target vehicle crosses line D and hysteresis Out. ④ The entire part of the target vehicle crosses line E and hysteresis Out.

- LCA warning activation conditions: ① The entire body of the target vehicle is behind line B. ② Any part of the target vehicle crosses line C. ③ Any part of the target vehicle crosses line D and hysteresis In. ④ The entire part of the target vehicle crosses line E and hysteresis B. ⑤ In all of the above conditions, TTC (Time To Collision) is 4.5 sec or more.

- LCA warning deactivation conditions: ① The entire body of the target vehicle is ahead of line B. ② The entire body of the target vehicle crosses line C. ③ The entire body of the target vehicle crosses line D and hysteresis Out. ④ The entire body of the target vehicle crosses line E and hysteresis Out. ⑤ In all of the above conditions, the TTC (time to collision) does not exceed 4.5 sec.

- Sensor activation conditions: ① BSD and LCA switch (indicated by the switch LED) is ON. ② Vehicle speed: 30 km/h or higher. ③ Radius of curvature: 125 m or more. ④ Relative vehicle speed: -10 to 250 km/h ("-" means the vehicle ahead is being overtaken).
- Sensor deactivation conditions: ① BSD and LCA switch (indicated by the switch LED) is OFF. ② Vehicle speed: 28 km/h or lower. ③ Radius of curvature: 125 m or less. ④ Relative vehicle speed: anything other than -10 to 250 km/h ("-" means the vehicle ahead is being overtaken).
- System control prohibited ① Radar covered by debris: System status - Blocked message is displayed② Radar installation damaged by external impact: Send error message. Code ③ BSD and LCA system malfunction: Send the DTC ④ Radar overheated: System status - Overheat message is displayed.
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

Bicycle: 15 m
① This function helps check vehicles approaching from the rear and sides when the vehicle reverses out of a parking space. ② The warning is issued within 2 seconds depending on the Time To Collision (TTC), and the alarm is excluded for a person (the warning cannot be disabled).③ Warning zone
