WARNING

If ESP® malfunctions, the STEER CONTROL active steering does not provide any steering recommendations. However, power steering operates normally.

STEER CONTROL active steering helps you steer the vehicle in the correct direction to stabilise its path by applying a noticeable force to the steering wheel.

It intervenes in particular when

  • the 2 right-hand wheels or the 2 left-hand wheels are on a wet or slippery surface during braking
  • the vehicle begins to skid

You always retain control of steering.
