Replacing the wiper blades

~2min read

Important safety notes

WARNING

The wiper arms can move and cause injury if the wipers have been switched on.

Before replacing the wiper blades, always remove the key from the ignition lock.

Grip the wiper arms only by the attachment on the wiper blade so as not to damage the wiper blade rubbers. Never open the hood while a wiper arm is raised away from the windshield.

Never lower the wiper arm onto the windshield/rear window unless a wiper blade is fitted.

Hold the wiper arm when replacing the wiper blade. If you release the wiper arm while no wiper blade is fitted, it may drop onto the windshield and the impact may damage the glass.

Mercedes-Benz recommends having the wiper blades replaced by a qualified workshop.
