Transporting the vehicle

Secure the vehicle only by the wheels or the rims, never by vehicle components (axle or steering components, for example). Otherwise, you could damage the vehicle.

• Vehicles with manual transmission: shift to neutral.
• Vehicles with an automatic transmission: turn the key to position 2 in the ignition switch.
• Shift the transmission into N.

As soon as you have the vehicle transported:

• Immobilize the vehicle by applying the electric parking brake so that it cannot roll away.
• Vehicles with manual transmission: engage 1st gear or reverse.
• Vehicles with an automatic transmission: shift the transmission into P.
• Turn the key back to position 0 in the ignition switch, then remove it.
• Secure the vehicle.

Use the towing hitch or the towing eyes when transporting the vehicle on a flatbed truck or trailer.
