Closing the bonnet

Before closing the bonnet, check that no objects have been left in the engine compartment.

To close the bonnet, grasp it at the centre of its front edge, lower it to about 30 cm above the front panel and release it. The lock engages automatically under the weight of the bonnet.

Check that the bonnet is securely latched.

Make sure nothing obstructs the lock mechanism (gravel, rag, etc.).

After any work carried out in the engine compartment, make sure no objects (rags, tools, etc.) have been left in it.

They could damage the engine or cause a fire.

If the radiator grille or bonnet is hit, even lightly, have the bonnet lock checked by an Authorised Partner of the brand as soon as possible.
