Fuse box 1

If an electrical item does not work, check the fuses before carrying out any further investigation.

Also make sure that the connectors of the item concerned are correctly plugged in.

In the event of a short circuit, unscrew the wing nut on one of the battery terminals to disconnect it.

Open cover 3 (under the steering wheel) by turning locks 5.

To identify the fuses, use the fuse allocation label 2 (detailed on the facing page).

It is recommended not to use the free fuse positions.

Check the fuse concerned and, if necessary, replace it with a fuse of exactly the same amperage as the original.

A fuse with too high an amperage can cause excessive heating of the electrical system (risk of fire) if an item of equipment draws abnormal current.

Remove the fuse using the fuse puller 4.

To remove it from the puller, slide it in the direction of the arrow.

A useful precaution: obtain a spare kit containing a set of bulbs and a set of fuses from your RENAULT Representative.
