CLEARING

RZ001: fault memory.

This command clears the faults stored by the control unit.

CONFIGURATIONS / CONFIGURATION READINGS

  • To simplify the configuration of the ACU4 AIRBAG control unit, the diagnostic tool offers five automatic configuration commands for the firing lines and sensors fitted to vehicles (BMXX, CMXX, SMXX).

However, the commands in the table on the following page allow each element of the system to be configured individually, to match the control unit configuration to the actual vehicle equipment.

  • The configuration reading commands (LCXXX) show the configuration state of the control unit in relation to the firing lines and sensors fitted to the vehicle.
  • The configuration commands (CFXXX) adapt the control unit configuration to the actual vehicle equipment.

STANDARD CONFIGURATION COMMANDS:

  • CF297: B/C WITHOUT SIDE AIRBAGS.

Vehicle types B, C WITHOUT FRONT AND REAR SIDE THORAX AIRBAGS AND WITHOUT SIDE HEAD AIRBAGS (SABLAT / SSABCS).

  • CF298: B/C WITH FRONT THORAX + HEAD AIRBAGS.

Vehicle types B, C fitted with FRONT SIDE THORAX AIRBAGS + SIDE HEAD AIRBAGS (ABLAVI / SSABCS).

  • CF299: B/C WITH FRONT/REAR THORAX + HEAD AIRBAGS.

Vehicle types B, C fitted with FRONT AND REAR SIDE THORAX AIRBAGS + SIDE HEAD AIRBAGS (ABLAT / SSABCS).

  • CF300: COMPANY VEHICLES WITH HEAD AIRBAGS.

Vehicle types S (company) fitted with SIDE HEAD AIRBAGS (ABLAT / SSABCS).

  • CF301: COMPANY VEHICLES WITHOUT HEAD AIRBAGS.

Vehicle types S (company) WITHOUT SIDE HEAD AIRBAGS (ABLAVI / SSABCS).

Due to possible unification of ECU references at the spare parts store, it may be necessary to deconfigure certain sensors or squib circuits after using the standard configuration commands. To do so, use the individual configuration commands for the system components.

At the end of configuration, check that the information is correctly taken into account on the "configuration reading" screen.

OTHER COMMANDS

  • VP006: ECU lock.

This command must be performed during every intervention on the system. It inhibits all squib circuits.

  • VP007: ECU unlock.

This command unlocks the ECU when it has been inhibited.

  • VP008: Write date of last after-sales intervention.

This command writes the intervention date to the system.

  • VP010: VIN writing.

This command writes the VIN number to the ECU.

  • SC004: Crash context reading.

This command is to be used for restoring the vehicle after a crash. It allows the list of controlled squib circuits and the state of the system at the time of the crash to be obtained from the ECU to be replaced.
