DF001 PRESENT AFTER-IGNITION RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT

FAULT: Consistency

INSTRUCTIONS

Check the battery voltage.

Check consistency with the state "ET003 +after ignition relay power".

Check the condition of the fuses on the battery positive terminal and on the Protection and Switching Unit.

Repair if necessary.

Check the condition and connection of connectors PPH1, PPH2 and PPM2 on the Protection and Switching Unit.

Repair if necessary.

Check correct earthing on pin 3 of connector PPH1 and on pin 3 of connector PPH2.

Repair if necessary.

Check the condition and connection of the battery + on the Protection and Switching Unit mounting and on connector P2.

Repair if necessary.

Ignition off, check for absence of 12 V on either of the following (common internal circuit): pin 1 of connector PEH, pins 10 or 11 of connector PPH2, and pins 6, 7 or 10 of connector PPM2 of the Protection and Switching Unit.

If 12 V is present, disconnect the following fuses one by one to isolate the faulty circuit: fuse 5C (connector PPM2 pin 6), fuse 5D (connector PEH pin 1), fuse 5E (connector PPH2 pin 10), fuse 5F (connector PPH2 pin 11), fuse 5G (connector PPM2 pin 7) and fuse 5H (connector PPM2 pin 10).

Using a wiring diagram, ensure insulation and continuity of the link between the pin detected as faulty on the Protection and Switching Unit and the computers or consumers linked to that pin.

Ignition on, ensure +12 V is present on the following pins of the Protection and Switching Unit:
  • pin 1 of connector PEH
  • pins 6, 7 and 10 of connector PPM2
  • pins 10 and 11 of connector PPH2
If the method has not resolved your problem, contact your Techline.

AFTER REPAIR

Clear the computer memory, switch the ignition off and back on, then perform a new check with the diagnostic tool.
