Interpreting states
| ET001 | BATTERY WARNING LIGHT |
BATTERY WARNING LIGHT
Check that the status is "Off" with engine running and "On" with engine stopped.
Check consistency with the warning light on the instrument panel.
With engine running, check that the voltage is above 12 V. Carry out a diagnosis of the charging circuit if necessary.
Check the condition and connection of connector PEM on the Protection and Switching Unit and the connections on the alternator. Repair if necessary.
Check insulation and continuity of the wiring: Protection and Switching Unit connector PEM pin 8 → Pin 2 of 2-way alternator connector Repair if necessary.
If the problem is not resolved, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
| ET002 | FRONT WIPER PROTECTION |
INSTRUCTIONS
These states are listed in order of severity or persistence of the wiper malfunction.
If the status is "low speed", this indicates that following a high-speed wiping request, the UPC has detected abnormal operation of this mode for more than 6 seconds (constraint or blockage).
If the status is "Timed", this indicates that operation is stopped for 10 seconds (following detection and persistence of the fault).
If the status is "Locked", this indicates that the cumulative timed stop duration is more than 2 minutes.
The status returns to "Inactive" as soon as the UCH requests a different wiping setting (by lever movement or rain sensor request).
Check that nothing is mechanically blocking the wiper blade movement (wiper blades stuck, condition and fitting of the wiper mechanism linkage rods, and no object preventing movement of the mechanism). Check that the wiper mechanism is not seized. Repair if necessary.
Check the condition and connection of connectors PPH2 and PEH on the UPC and of the front wiper motor. Repair if necessary.
Ensure insulation and continuity of the connections between: UPC connector PEH pin 6 → Pin 2 of the wiper motor connector Repair if necessary.
If everything is correct, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
| ET004 | REVERSE GEAR ENGAGED |
INSTRUCTIONS
Power supply + after ignition on.
No fault must be present.
Check, and replace if necessary, fuse "5C" on the Protection and Switching Unit.
Manual transmission
Check the condition and connection of the reverse gear switch connector and connector PPM2 on the Protection and Switching Unit. Repair if necessary.
With ignition on and reverse gear engaged, check for 12 V on pin 9 of connector PPM2. If not correct, ensure insulation and continuity of the connections between: Protection and Switching Unit connector PPM2 pin 9 → Pin 1 (pin 3 on ND0) of the switch Reverse gear engaged Switch pin 1 (pin 3 on ND0) → Pin 2 of the switch Repair if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact your Techline.
Automatic transmission
Check the condition and connection of the multifunction switch connector and connector PPM2 on the Protection and Switching Unit. Repair if necessary.
With ignition on and reverse gear engaged, check for 12 V on pin 9 of connector PPM2. If not correct, ensure insulation and continuity of the connections between: Protection and Switching Unit connector PPM2 pin 9 → Pin 1 of the multifunction switch Reverse gear engaged Multifunction switch pin 1 → Pin 2 of the switch Repair if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
| ET005 | GEAR LEVER POSITION MANUAL GEARBOX |
INSTRUCTIONS
Power supply level + after ignition on.
No fault must be present.
Check, and replace if necessary, fuse "5C" on the Protection and Switching Unit.
Check the condition and connection of the neutral switch connector and of connectors PPM2 and PEM on the Protection and Switching Unit. Repair if necessary.
Check continuity in neutral and open circuit in gear engaged between pins 1 and 2 of the switch. If not correct, replace the switch.
With ignition on, check for 12 V on pin 2 (pin 1 if fitted with an ND0 type gearbox) of the neutral switch connector. If not correct, ensure insulation and continuity of the connection between the switch and pin 6 of connector PPM2 on the Protection and Switching Unit.
With ignition on and in neutral, check for 12 V on pin 6 of connector PEM. If not correct, ensure insulation and continuity of the connection between the switch and pin 6 of connector PEM on the Protection and Switching Unit.
If the problem persists, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
| ET006 | OIL PRESSURE SENSOR INFORMATION |
INSTRUCTIONS
Check that the status is "absent" with engine running and "present" with engine stopped.
Check the condition and connection of connectors PEM on the Protection and Switching Unit and of the oil pressure sensor. Repair if necessary.
Ensure the sensor is securely fixed to the engine.
Ensure insulation and continuity of the connection between Protection and Switching Unit connector PEM pin 12 and the pressure sensor. Repair if necessary.
If everything is correct, replace the oil pressure sensor.
If the problem is still not resolved, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
| ET010 | STARTING CONDITIONS MET |
INSTRUCTIONS
If the status is "NO", carry out a conformity check and verify that status ET004 is "NO" and, if the vehicle is fitted with a manual gearbox, that status ET005 is "Neutral".
Check in the "Keyless vehicle" function that the starting conditions are met.
If the conditions are met and the starter motor does not operate, refer to the ALP 2 procedure.
If the problem persists, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
| PR002 | ALTERNATOR LOAD INFORMATION |
INSTRUCTIONS
Check in the configuration readings that the correct alternator type has been configured.
Check that there are no faults.
With engine running, add and remove electrical loads and check that the parameter changes accordingly.
Check the condition and connection of connector PEM on the Protection and Switching Unit and the connections on the alternator. Repair if necessary.
With engine running, check that the voltage is above 12 V. Carry out a diagnosis of the charging circuit if necessary.
Check insulation and continuity of the wiring: Protection and Switching Unit connector PEM pin 3 → Pin 1 of the 2-pin alternator connector Repair if necessary.
Using an oscilloscope, check for a square wave signal on pin 1 of the 2-pin alternator connector. If not correct, replace the alternator.
If everything is correct, contact your Techline.
AFTER REPAIR
Carry out a conformity check and deal with any other malfunctions found.
