I - DESCRIPTION

Tableau de commande : Fonctionnement
  1. Air recirculation control
  2. Air temperature adjustment
  3. Adjusting the fan speed
  4. Adjusting the air distribution in the cabin
  5. Rear window defroster and heated mirror control and indicator (if fitted)
  6. Air conditioning on/off control and indicator

II - OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Air temperature adjustment

Tableau de commande : Fonctionnement

Turn the control (7) to the desired temperature.

The further the slider is towards red, the higher the temperature.

During prolonged use of the air conditioning, a feeling of cold may occur.

This is corrected by adding warm air (turn the control (7) to the right).

Air distribution in the passenger compartment

Tableau de commande : Fonctionnement

Operate the control (8) to align the slider with the marked positions:

  • Position at (9)

The airflow is directed only to all the vents.

  • Position (10)

Airflow is directed to all vents and footwells.

This position is recommended for optimum comfort in hot weather.

  • Position (11)

Airflow is directed to the footwells.

  • Position (13)

Airflow is split between the windscreen and side window demist outlets and the footwells.

This position is recommended for optimum comfort in cold weather.

  • Position (12)

All the airflow is directed to the windshield and side window defog outlets.

Note:

For rapid demisting, set the controls to:

  • fresh air,
  • maximum temperature,
  • demisting.

Adjusting the fan speed

Tableau de commande : Fonctionnement
  • Normal use

Turn control (14) to one of the four positions to switch on the ventilation and adjust its speed.

Set the control to position 1 for minimum airflow and position 4 for maximum airflow.

  • Position 0

In this position:

  • the air conditioning switches off automatically even if button (15) is on (the indicator light goes out),
  • the airflow speed in the passenger compartment is zero.

However, there is a low airflow when the vehicle is moving.

Avoid this position in everyday use.

Activating air recirculation (with passenger compartment isolated)

Tableau de commande : Fonctionnement

Turn control (16) to the air recirculation symbol (17).

In these conditions, air is taken from inside the cabin and recirculated without any outside air intake.

Air recirculation:

  • isolate yourself from outside air (driving in polluted areas, etc.),
  • to reach the desired passenger compartment temperature more efficiently.
WARNING
  • Prolonged use of this function may cause condensation on the side windows and windscreen and discomfort due to stale air in the passenger compartment.
  • Therefore, switch back to normal operation (fresh air) fairly quickly by turning control (16) again.
