Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the lower driver airbag panel. (Refer to Body - "Driver Airbag Module")
  3. Remove the blind-spot detection (BSD) switch (A) after releasing the mounting clip.

Installation

  1. Install the side airbag switch assembly after connecting the connector.
  2. Install the emergency pad lower panel.

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the BSD switch connector (A).
  2. Turn on the BSD switch, then check the circuit continuity between the terminals of the BSD switch connector.
