Replacement

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the rear LH wheel, tire and wheel housing cover.
  4. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).
  5. Disconnect the evaporative hose (B).
  6. Remove the mounting bolts (A) and remove the fuel tank air filter.
  7. Release the lever (A), then remove the canister close valve (B) from the fuel tank air filter (C) by turning it in the direction of the arrow in the illustration.
  8. Install a new fuel tank air filter.
