Replacement

  1. Remove the front bumper. (Refer to Front Bumper - "Front Bumper Cover")
  2. Remove the headlamp [RH]. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Headlamps")
  3. Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the wiring harness clips.
  4. Remove the hood latch mounting bolts (A).
  5. Disconnect the hood latch cable (A) and remove the lower hood latch assembly (B).
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    • Make sure the hood latch release cable is connected properly.
    • Make sure the hood latches/unlatches and opens/closes properly.
    • Adjust the latch alignment.
