Operating the lights
The lights are switched by turning the knob at the end of the lever. There are three positions: in the "OFF" position all lights are off; in the middle position the front and rear position lights, the licence plate light and the instrument panel lights are on, but the headlights are off; in the third position the headlights are also switched on.

When the headlights are on, pushing the lever forward switches to high beam, and pulling it towards you switches to low beam. When the high beam is on, the high beam indicator on the instrument panel also lights.
To briefly flash the high beams as a signal, lightly pull the lever towards you and release it after giving the signal.
NOTE:
- Reduced-intensity lights (on some models): With the engine running, moving the light control lever to the middle position switches on the headlights together with the position (parking) lights at approximately 15% of normal intensity.
- Daytime running lights (on some models): When the engine is running, the headlights (or fog lights) and position lights are switched on automatically. This system is switched off when the light control lever is moved to any position other than OFF.
