Windscreen washer

To spray washer fluid onto the windscreen, pull the lever towards you. The wipers will switch on automatically at low speed if they are not already running and the lever is in the "INT" position.

• To prevent the windscreen from freezing in low temperatures, switch on the windscreen heater before and while using the washer.
• Do not use engine coolant as washer fluid. Spraying it onto the windscreen may severely reduce visibility, and it may also damage the body paint.

• Do not hold the washer lever once washer fluid has stopped spraying, as this may damage the washer drive.
• Do not try to remove dirt from a dry windscreen with the wipers, as this causes wear on the glass and the wiper blades. Always wet the windscreen with washer fluid before using the wipers.
• Before using the wipers, remove ice and compacted snow from the wiper arms.
• Check the washer fluid level regularly, more often in bad weather.
• In cold weather, fill the washer fluid reservoir only to 3/4 of its capacity to leave room for expansion if the solution freezes.
